how we work with clients
The Evanston Group acts much like a broker or a general contractor in subcontracting expert-level leadership talent for medium to large corporations.
Clients use us when they need only one or a few highly specialized leadership professionals of the sort they might find in a large, well-known integrator. They also use us when they need solid project managers who can learn their environment quickly, manage by methodology and process, and meet challenging budget and time constraints.
Here’s an example. You are embarking on a major ERP implementation. You may plan to engage a major integrator as a partner in the effort, however, you don’t have an in-house person with specialized ERP experience or anyone who has managed a program of this size and scope. You want an independent consultant to be your advocate, help you manage the effort and manage the large integrator. You come to the Evanston Group, and we provide multiple candidates from which to choose.
The Evanston Group maintains the Master Service Agreement (MSA) with our corporate clients with the required insurance and legal terms and conditions. We then subcontract the independent consultant to the client.
Here’s another way to describe how we work. We operate much like an executive headhunter, the difference being that the contract is primarily for interim professionals.
We have taken the tried and true staff augmentation model and applied it to the top of the organizational pyramid, where clients engage highly seasoned, senior-level professionals.
When clients have a need, an Evanston Group sales executive will take the time to understand the specific skills required along with culture match and soft skills. We then provide the client with multiple candidates from which to choose. The client interviews the candidates before making a decision.
We have a very large (20,000 +) network from which to draw an exact match for the client.
Though we focus on interim talent, we can recruit for permanent positions. And, in cases where clients desire it, we also do contract-to-hire arrangements.
