working with us
At the Evanston Group, working collaboratively is the bedrock of our relationship with you, the consultant. We strive to foster a climate of truthfulness, integrity, professionalism, and mutual respect. When we discuss an opportunity with you, we will be honest about its responsibilities and compensation.
We work hard to find the perfect match for each client need. And we work just as hard to find a position that challenges you, matches your skills, and advances your career.
Independent Contractor Status
Every consultant who works with the Evanston Group is an independent contractor. As such you manage your own work with the client.
You are also responsible for your own taxes and for maintaining professional liability and worker’s compensation insurance.
If you are not already incorporated, it’s a relatively simple process. Speak with your attorney and your accountant or visit a recognized on-line source. We are affiliates with BizFilings, and we recommend their services.
Contract and Payment
As you begin a new assignment, we will negotiate a consulting agreement with you. It contains standard provisions for confidentiality, assignment commitment, and duration. It also spells out the details of our billing and bill payment process.
After your first two weeks on an assignment, you bill the Evanston Group and we invoice the client accordingly. Within five business days of receiving payment from the client, we send payment to you.
We are responsible for collections and we’re proud to say that since our founding in 1999, all our clients provide references for us and all consultants have been fully paid for their work.
